Que sera sera

Oh boy.. it's been a LONG time since I have updated. I have been so busy. My freelancing has really picked up and is keeping me way to busy. Plus this week my other job, Sign Pro, decided they REALLY needed me this week because our other designer is out of town and it was crazy mad busy this week. So I pulled 8 hour shifts mon-fri this week. At least thats extra money right? But man.. i have never been so stressed and it just seems that because it's already crazy.. the days just want to make things worse. For exmp: One morning I woke up all cheery and was getting ready for the day. I went out to start my car and found my lights on.. so yes.. the battery was dead.. not only that but my car was completely frozen so I couldn't even open the doors.. I had to pry open the passenger side door and climb in that way to try and start it. I had to put a battery charger on my car but it was so dead it did nothing so I had to call Devin home. After my car jumped start I had to take Elysa to my mom and dads and what do you know.. after I FINALLY pried the drivers door open it wouldn't shut SOO I had to hold it shut the WHOLE way to Hyrum. UGH... then I got super uper behind on all my freelance because I was at Sign pro all day and by the time I got home I had 3 hours before bed to finish 5 projects HA! And to top it all off!! * Drumroll* Today me and Devin decided we were so stressed out that we wanted to go out to eat, so Devin, Elysa and I went to Sizzler.. good so far right? Well when we get home.. we find our basement completely covered with 1 inch of water.. yeah.. flooded.. Sigh......

Well what do I take from all this? Life hands you lemons.. sometimes super uper soar lemons! But if you can make Lemonade from them * I love lemonade :) * Life goes on and can seem a little less overwhelming.. Que sera sera.

Best Friends for Life

Me, Brianne, Ana, and Erin-- Sara we missed you and can't wait to see you next month!

We have been friends since highschool and hoped to stay friends forever. But of course when highschool ends everyone goes their separate ways. After a few  years we all got back together every once in awhile. We all decided it was way to long in between of seeing each other an came up with getting together every 3rd weekend of the month and this was the beginning of that. We watched "Mama Mia" had pizza, and Erin gave us beautiful pedicures cause she is so talented at it! What can I say, a girls night out was exactly what we all needed and I am excited for this to be a permanent thing! Next month.... Fall Out Boy concert here we come!

It's Been Awhile

Wow it's been awhile since I have blogged anything. I was "partially laid-off" , I call it, at work until things pick back up again so I have only been working 9 hours a week, 3 monday, 3 wednesday, and 3 friday. To pick up some extra money or I guess really to make up for what I lost I have picked up some freelance work designing websites. BOY has that kept me busier than I thought it would and I have actually been pulling in some good money. It's tempting me so much to just quite work all together and stay home with Elysa and just freelance which is what I would LOVE to do. I just have a hard time giving up security. I mean, have a job here and town making money I feel more secure than just freelancing for people all over the U.S that I have never met.. I always get paid on time but you never know.. So we'll see if I'll change my mind once summer hits! Anyways the point of all that was that's why I have had not time to blog I have been SWAMPED!

Boy O' Boy I don't even know where to start. So much has been happening. Elysa is growing way way to fast! She's almost to crawling, she inch worms her way around it's the cutest thing! She is FULL of laughs and squeals I love it. She know's how to brighten my day when I am stressed out all I have to do is look at her and there is that HUGE smile looking right at me and I can't help but just smile back. Devin loves that I am home more and he loves that I get to come home with him from work when I do work cause we get off the same time. I have to admit I love it to, even tho it's nice to get out of the house here and there, I love being home with Devin and Elysa.

Elysa has finally started rolling over like crazy, she did it here and there before and mostly went from her stomach to her back but now she

 goes from her back to her stomach and then acts like she's stuck so we'll come to her rescue haha. I know she's a little  manipulator because she'll be screaming her lungs off but as soon as we get to her rescue she'll bust up giggling plus we know she can roll back cause we've seen her do it when she thinks we aren't looking. S

he is such a joy in our lives and for us she is the best thing ever. I don't know how people could evensay " you have no idea what you are in for, good luck" cause we love her to death and can't imagine how life would be without her.... boring I suppose ;).

Elysa is finally eating solids now, even tho I've seen her daddy sneaking her stuff here and there. Here's the proof too. He's been sneaking her oreo's and as you can see she LOVES them. The 2nd picture was from when I caught then and asked her, "Elysa? What do you think your doing?" She loves applesauce and sweet potatoes from her baby foods. She didn't seem to like peaches or bananas which I though she would. But sweet potatoes and applesauce, she gets so excited for. Altho, the only way she can eat it is if she is holding the spoon otherwise it's a no go. Funny girl wants to be a big girl to fast. Boy has she developed a little temper tho, if you don't pay attention to her you are in so much trouble and if you take anything away from her with out replacing it with something else of interest, your introuble, and usually she only wants what you have. And that's about the jist of what's going on with our little family!

Happy New Year

Well we started the new year out..... not necessarily with a bang. Our little family ended up sick . It started out with poor Devin waking up in the middle of the night with a bad fever. Then baby girl ended up getting a little cold and then I ended up feeling shlumpish and congested. We managed to somehow stay up for the New Year but as soon as midnight hit we were off to bed. We spent a good 3 hours before playing Tripoly.. we got Devin's family addicted to it.  We started the new year morning out by heading to the Cache Valley Specialty hospital at 6 am because Elysa had a little fever, cough, and was really congested. It made me so sad, we had her sleep with us that night and it almost made me cry when I could hear her little stuffed up nose, also it was so sad when she wanted her "bink" so bad but couldn't suck on it cause then she couldn't breath.. poor baby girl. So we took her to the hospital cause we knew her docs office was closed. The doctor helped show us how to clear out her nose and we went to Walmart and bought a humidifier and some baby nasal decongestioner. Hope we all get feeling better and that the year will be better down the road then how it started. But baby girl taught us to be happy no matter what cause  I don't know how she did it especially for only be a 4 1/2 month old but despite being really sick and you could tell she was in pain she was all smiles all day which helped ease some of the pain for us.

Since Elysa was born I have seen a new side of my brothers. They never used to be "baby guys". But all they ever want is for their little niece to come visit. Matt always is asking me to send him new pictures to his cell phone, altho he has admitted that it does help him with the ladies ;) haha, but they love holding her as soon as we go over to visit they snatch her from me. Its the cutest thing ever.. i knew they had soft sides to them haha. It was the cutest thing ever when my bro Matt wanted to give Elysa her "bah".  They just love their niece.
