We have been in major need of family pictures and my dear friend/co-worker/amazing photography Jenn Lyday took our pictures Sunday. They turned out so cute and we had so much fun.

I am not a photogenic person AT ALL. I prefer to be behind the camera instead of infront of it. Anyways, I was super nervous/shy about getting our photos taken cause I knew they would turn out so cute of my hubby and daughter but not so much me but Jenn did such a great job and making us feel comfortable and just letting us be us that I totally forgot there was a camera following us around snapping shots.

Here is a sneak peak of the pictures she had ready for us: They turned out so great!! And they totally captured our cute little family just the way we are :)

Life....

I'm a little behind on blogging. I'm gonna be honest I just haven't felt like it lately. I am at the point in pregnancy ( at least this is how it was for me last time ) where the nausea kinda plays with my head.. I hate everything, nothing smells good, nothing tastes good, everything I used to love to do kinda sounds like the pits now. It's really annoying, I hate this stage lol!

So I have been trying to find things that I can tolerate. Being outside really helps! Glad it's still somewhat warm out or I think I would go crazy. SOOO glad we FINALLY got to finishing our room. That helps, I can tolerate our room some. I love watching movies in our bedroom now. ( this happened last time I was pregnant too, but I couldn't stand the smell or feel of our house, dunno why ).

I still need to get pictures of our room but remember this dresser we got at the D.I.?

Well we got it all painted up. Here's the after ( sorry the photo is from my phone so it's a little crummy.. but you get the picture ) :

Devin came up with the clever idea of using some hemp rope for the handles rather than knobs to give it a more country feel.

I'll get pics of our whole room finished someday.. sooner than later I hope haha.

Here's a few other things I did before I felt sick and like doing nothing at all haha:

I really love these purses.. I use mine alot ( mine is the yellow, grey, and turquoise one. The flower one I made as a gift for my sis-in-law)

I also decided to be brave.. see.. I love photography.. I have really been working on it lately and LOVE taking photos. I would love for it to be more than a hobby, not for money making reasons but because I love taking pictures that tell stories. I really love taking pictures of kids, especially mine tee hee. So I have decided in order to get to where I want I have started a photography portfolio. Hopefully someday it will grow more but until then I am looking for guinea pigs! Remember I am still learning but my hubby tells me I am good enough to give it a go. I have started a photography portfolio here: www.madideasdesigns.com/photography

So if you want some family photos, baby photos, kiddo photos, pet photos.. any kind of photos hit me up and I'll do a 1/2 hour session for free. I'm offering this until I feel my portfolio is where I would like it.. but until then practice makes perfect right?
