Happy New Year

Well we started the new year out..... not necessarily with a bang. Our little family ended up sick . It started out with poor Devin waking up in the middle of the night with a bad fever. Then baby girl ended up getting a little cold and then I ended up feeling shlumpish and congested. We managed to somehow stay up for the New Year but as soon as midnight hit we were off to bed. We spent a good 3 hours before playing Tripoly.. we got Devin's family addicted to it.  We started the new year morning out by heading to the Cache Valley Specialty hospital at 6 am because Elysa had a little fever, cough, and was really congested. It made me so sad, we had her sleep with us that night and it almost made me cry when I could hear her little stuffed up nose, also it was so sad when she wanted her "bink" so bad but couldn't suck on it cause then she couldn't breath.. poor baby girl. So we took her to the hospital cause we knew her docs office was closed. The doctor helped show us how to clear out her nose and we went to Walmart and bought a humidifier and some baby nasal decongestioner. Hope we all get feeling better and that the year will be better down the road then how it started. But baby girl taught us to be happy no matter what cause  I don't know how she did it especially for only be a 4 1/2 month old but despite being really sick and you could tell she was in pain she was all smiles all day which helped ease some of the pain for us.

Since Elysa was born I have seen a new side of my brothers. They never used to be "baby guys". But all they ever want is for their little niece to come visit. Matt always is asking me to send him new pictures to his cell phone, altho he has admitted that it does help him with the ladies ;) haha, but they love holding her as soon as we go over to visit they snatch her from me. Its the cutest thing ever.. i knew they had soft sides to them haha. It was the cutest thing ever when my bro Matt wanted to give Elysa her "bah".  They just love their niece.

Christmas day hurray

Christmas day started early for us.. 5 am to be exact. Elysa was just to excited haha.. no she woke up and didn't really want to go back to sleep and we needed to be at my parents house at 7 am so we decided "what the heck lets open presents now while we are awake". Altho, Elysa was super smiley and happy so we decided to take that as she was way excited for Christmas. She got tons of presents that she loved, more so that I loved and couldn't wait for her to open cause alot of them were crib toys that keep her easily entertained when she wakes up in the morning giving me a little bit extra sleepin time. When we went grandmas and grandpas house Elysa really got spoiled. She got a sing and play swing which she ABSOLUTELY loves. She spends hours sitting in it and just playing in it. I love playing peek-a-boo with her while she's in it cause thats where she lets out her cute giggles. Oh yeah.. speaking of giggles, she has laughed here and there but nothing long just short bursts then she'd get board of what you were doing and move on to something else but Christmas night we were playing games and uncle Mason started cooing at her and she just started laughing histarically! She had us all in tears with laughter. Since then she laughs so much more at everything but she'll still wind down and give you a look like " okay that's old try something else!" it's so cute! 

My brothers and Becky spent all Christmas day putting together the "stupid" puzzle. It seriously took them all day.. I was glad I got to help out with 5 pieces haha. It really was a hard puzzle it was 750 oddly and I mean oddly cut pieces. What a day!

Christmas Parties

I just love the holidays. Especially family parties. We had several family parties over the past week... Infact we had 4 different parties all in one week! So it was quite chaotic but it was so much fun. Elysa got to sit on Santa's lap and she was such a good girl.. You always dread when babies get to see Santa cause, at least all the ones I've seen, usually freak out! But Elysa was more interested in trying to eat Santa's beard haha. That's all she ever wants to do nowadays is eat everything which helps when people she doesn't know well want to hold her cause she'll immediately try to find something she can grab and eat on that person. She is such a good baby.
