My Baby Girl is THREE! August 18

How did my baby girl go from this little thing:

To such a big girl?

I don't know how many times I keep telling her to "Stop Growing up!" and she just comes back to me and says " But I just wanna be bigger like you!"

Brings a little tear to my eye because I don't want her to ever be bigger like me.. I just want my little girl to say little forever!!

Well she just got spoiled this year. Not only did she get a birthday party at the Fun Park

But she got a pirate party at Bear Lake 2 days after! [ pictures coming soon ]

She told us " I had the bestest birthday ever!!!!"

Well this explains alot!

I walked in Sisa's room this morning and said "guess what?"

Sisa said "what?"
I said "mama's expecting a baby!"
Sisa says nonchalantly, "Yeah..."
I say "well your gonna be a big sister!"
Sisa says nonchalantly again "yeah..."
I say "well are you excited???"
Sisa says AGAIN nonchalant like "yeah..."

Not exactly the reaction I was going for haha

I didn't really want to say anything yet.. I had a cute way  I was going to tell the world.. but my hubby, he's so cute, said if I didn't post something he was.. soo...

Looks like we are expecting child #2!

And now the fun begins ;) Can't wait till he/she is here!

[ Day 1 ] Zions National Park + Bedroom Makeover

The first day of our trip was Zions National Park. It actually wasn't a bad drive to get there and I really have to brag.. I have the best little girl ever! She didn't cry ONCE the entire drive to and from!
She had her portable player, our phones, and her aunt and uncle to keep her plenty busy and happy but man she is a trooper and she kept us entertained!

When we finally got there we decided to go for a swim in this teeny tiny pool haha.. but it was lots of fun!

After we took a walk on the town and ate out at the Flying Monkey. It was a cute little town!

2nd day we took a drive thru Zions Canyon on our way to the Grand Canyon. It was really pretty! The tunnels you had to go thru were insane! And very long! I mean very very long! I started to get a panic attack from claustrophobia! But it was fun in the end, and once we reached the end lol!

And we'll end here with the Grand Canyon for now, until I get the rest of the pictures mocked up ;) .

[ Bedroom Makeover ]

My sister-in-law is re-doing her room here and I am so glad she is! She always does such cute stuff and it really motivated and inspired me! I have been literally DREAMING of the day I would get to our room. Re-Cap for those who don't know we are living in a home, my father-in-laws, that the old renters litterally TRASHED! It was un-livable how bad they trashed it! So we decided tackle the project and move in and use our rent money to fix the place up. It has been ALOT of work but worth it everytime a room comes together.

I know I know I have not been doing well AT ALL at  updating our home remodel project.. I'll have to collect everything to post.. anywhoo.. our bedroom is the last room and the colors the former tenants painted before were beyond cold and depressing.. I really didn't like our room and I have lived like that for 2 years now..

On our trip to the Grand Canyon I got hit like a jackpot of candy on Halloween! I FINALLY knew exactly what I wanted to do to our room and I could not get it out of my head.. I got home so excited to decorate... and thus the project began.. I am very proud of myself lol..

As you can see the walls are an ugly ugly ugly gross weird green.. the wall I didn't get was a dark greyish blue and had a huge ol' hole in it.

With the help of my daughter [really she helped alot] we got the room primed and painted [ I don't have a finished product yet because I am still working on the decor and need a new bed spread ].
You can see the lovely colors I chose, we went with a Comet Dust for the walls and I am going to accent it with Red decor.

My thoughts behind this/ theme behind this is a contemporary country look.. going with colors of our old barn in the back yard

See how it's kinda got some greys and reds and browns in it? Well thats what I was going after.

Heres some of the decor so far:

The picture we found in some old stuff of Devins Grandpas.. it was PERFECT for our room.. I love it!

The material for the curtains.. ya.. $4 from the D.I. there was probably like 6 yards in it and it was also PERFECT I absolutely love the material. Devin helped me out and picked the potato sack like material for the bottom of the curtain.

We also had an ugly old desk with an ugly ol brocken filing cabinet in our room [ our room doubles as an office ] So I came up with an idea to get some big ol' books and combine them with some file holders to put on my box crate shelves [ i'll post that project later ] so that it didn't look so obvious they were files. I think it turned out pretty well!

This should be my last DIY project to finish off the room.. then I can post the room in it's entirety!
I found this at the DI. Paid a little more than I wanted $50, but not too bad for the condition it is in! I am going to paint it a barn red and give it a little rustic look! Can't wait to get this one done.. it started the idea lol.. I really wanted a red dresser for some reason!

Sorry for the long, long LONG post but that about does it for now!

Jam Packed August! Campfire & Old Ephraims Grave

We are just cramming in vacation after vacation this month. Guess it's cause it's pretty much the last month of summer? *Tear*

Well I am just going to be posting loads of pictures in the next week or so because besides our little Camping Expo and 4 wheeler/motorcycle ride to Old Ephraims grave, we took a trip to Zions National Park, Grand Canyon, & Bryce Canyon.. plus we have my birthday and Sisa's birthday party coming up.. boy! What a month already!!

Anyways here's what happened a couple weeks ago:

We decided it would be fun to have a little campfire in our backyard. So Devin got the Campfire pit put together, got us a fire, and we roasted hotdogs and marshmallow's.
I just love the smell of campfire!

We also thought it would be fun to camp out so we pitched the tent. Elysa was super excited, until it was actually time to sleep in the tent. She's a smart little stinker too! We get all tucked in and she goes " I have to go potty!" [ She has been potty training and is pretty much trained so it's awesome!!!]

So Devin takes her in and after about 5 minutes comes storming out, " We are sleeping inside! That little stink tricked me!" It was hilarious. She had conned him to take her in, didn't go potty, and said " I REALLY wanna sleep in my bed ok?" And he could not get her to go back outside.

So in our beds we slept. We'll try again.

The next day Devin's family invited us to go on a trip to Old Ephraims Grave. It was LOADS of fun, i've been up once in our Blazer but never on 4 wheelers. It was a bumby road but worth the trip!

And Lastely [ for now at least ]

Stevens Henager had a poster contest. They gave the quotes and we came up with the designs. I ended up winning runner up and won myself a Flip Video Camera :D

Here's my poster!

** OHHH I did have a wonderful birthday yesterday.

Started the day off with a wonderfully cooked breakfast by my fabulous hubby! And a little birthday song from my little girl.

I did have to work, which was nothing special haha.

But after work my family treated me with Fire House Pizza which happens to be my favorite place to eat!

Didn't get many pics, just this one:

We ordered the GINORMOUS!! 36" pizza which ended up being more than even 14 people could handle! We took 4 small pizza boxes of pizza home haha!

After we headed out to the Cache County Fair where my ego got boosted LOL.
They had a muscle up contest at the Golds Gym Booth. You had to Muscle up a 25lb weight and do as many reps as you could in a minute. I ended up with 40 reps and 3rd on the board! The dudes at the booth kept saying they were super impressed because all the ones above me were alot bigger ladies and they didn't think someone of my frame could do that many!

Thank you Crossfit!!

My birthday was a fun one this year thanks to my wonderful family!

This is my digital Scrapbook. And.. yeah.. i designed the papers and stuff myself :) sweet huh?

Elysa's Favorite Video! She asks for it by pointing at the computer and yelling "Apples!Apples"
