Catching up.. Jackson Part 2, Elysa Soccer, Pumpkin Smash

I am a little behind on blogging.. so here is just about everything that has happened in the past few months in one post.. ready??? Well.. here we go....

We signed Lys up for 3-4 year old indoor soccer. It was cute to watch her play but we decided that next time.. we wont sign a 3 year old up for soccer haha. Did I mention we were the coaches too? Aw yes, trying to coach 3-4 year olds is one heck of a job. The first few games they were all into it! Running around, getting the ball, having fun.. by the last week the younger kids had had it! The older kids were bigger and ALWAYS got the ball.. so the little ones just layed on the floor, sat on the bench, ran in circles, or in Lys's case.. danced in the middle of the gym lol... They were a hoot tho! I was glad when the last week came, however.. but it was a fun experience!

October 15 was this years PUMPKIN SMASH! Last year our team took first place so we just had to enter this year. I didn't play hardly at all because my doc said with twins.. i'd have to be done early :( But we were short girls a few games so I play a minute or 2 here and there since it was my last week I could play soccer, I had just decided before that I wasn't going to push it.

It was a beautiful, warm, fall day tho! It was fun to play and watch and in the end.... we won first place again!

"There's 2 Little Mermaids"

That's what Elysa told us as we were talking to her about the baby in mommy's tummy.
Since then we joked about how we were having twins.
This pregnancy sure has been different from the first, ALOT of random symptoms that I didn't have before and the ones I am having now have been twice as miserable. I also was getting a belly ALOT faster. I wasn't gaining weight just my belly was getting HUGE! I was so peeved because I remember I didn't start REALLY showing until about 5 months and this time.. I was already feeling 5 months pregnant.

I would lay down in bed and literally have to hold my stomach as I rolled from side to side. Body Pillow? Yes please! It was the only way I could sleep at night! Again.. this wasn't until 5 months with Elysa.. so I was dumbfounded as to how everything seemed like I was further along.

I was so sure I was further along, so was Devin.. then we would joke OR "we are having twins..." then we would just laugh it off.

Well.. we head to our first ultra sound. Doc gets everything ready and goes "Whoa, your never going to believe this!"
I knew instantly "We are having twins aren't we?"
Doc "You most certainly are! Congrats!"

I LITERALLY WAS IN SHOCK THE WHOLE TIME! I couldn't stop staring at the 2 little babies squirming around in my belly. I was waiting for her to go " I'm just kidding.. this is someone else's ultrasound.. hahaha" but it never came. She just kept on showing us the two little tykes moving around and started talking to us about what to expect with twins.

I still can't believe it. I am still in shock. I am SUPER thrilled! I secretly wanted 3 kids while Devin wanted to be done at 2 so.. I won! he he..

Now if we could just get one of each then we would be set :)

6 Amazing years! Jackson Hole here we come!

I just love this guy! We are so totally happy together! I know it's cliche and i've heard it before but I seriously just fall more and more in love with him as the years pass by! This year we decided we HAD to go on an Anniversary trip! We were so giddy about it! The hole week waiting for the trip was cute, we were like a little newly wed couple, just so happy and excited for the weekend! My dear sis-in-law was gonna watch Sis but she was due to have her baby any day so we decided, what the heck, lets take Lys with! It was fun to have a trip for just us!

We didn't make too many plans because we just wanted to get there, have fun, and wing it. So we did! And it was splendid!

When we first got to the hotel in Jackson WY we decided to try out the pool. It was wonderfully warm and we swam for a couple hours before heading out on the town to find a bite.

We decided to go to the Bunnery, on recommendations from my bro and sis-in-law. It was delicious!

Lys was starving and devoured her cheese burger!

And found a potato chip that looked "just like a mustache!"

Then we went to the candy shop ( R.I.P sucker, we'll get to that later )

Had to sit next to Einstein.

Got so tuckered out walking around town, and from driving all day. Yes she is spoiled.. she got her very own BIG bed :)

Next morning we found an awesome place with Bagels and hot chocolate YUM ( Pearl Street Bagels and Coffee )

I got a delicious cinnamon raison bagel spread with nutty peanut butter and a very whipped cream hot chocolate!

Then we headed off to Jenny Lake! We were told to ride the boat to "Hidden Falls". Well when we got there, they had JUST closed the boat for the season. If we had gone Friday we would have made it! SAD!

We looked at the map and saw it was only a 2.5 mile hike there. So we thought, "Why Not?"

Well if we would have know it was actually a 3.0 mile hike and that it was NOT EASY AT ALL especially with a 3 year old we may have thought twice.

It was worth it in the end. Our little girl hike 4.5 miles all on her own little legs! So proud of her!

She only had one sad mishap, she tripped and lost her dear sucker to the dirt :( Other than that she was a very happy girl. We nicknamed her "Bear Bells" because she did a great job making us known to the entire forest!
