Week 32!

We have been waiting for weeks to finally get to week 32! That is our safety week. That week means that if the babies came, they could be here and we wouldn't have to go to SLC :)

Crazy to think that I have at most 5 weeks left before these babies get here.. now it's just a waiting game.. I want to at least get to week 35 which isn't that far away.. that week is also a safe week.. means they probably will be born healthy and would only have a few days, if any in NICU.

So what will I miss about being pregnant? hahahahahaha.. sorry.. had to laugh some first.. ok seriously now:

1] working fully from home and getting to be with my hubby and little girl
2] Naps whenever :)
3] Getting to feel the babies kicking like crazy and watching my belly go insane with movement.. sometimes it looks like something in a freaky horror movie lol
4]  baby showers :)

* On that note i'll quickly post about the cute baby shower my Mother-In-Law and sister-in-laws threw for me

They did a cute Noah's Arc theme. [Get it.. 2 of every animal? Plus they are boy & girl? Just making sure. My pregnant brain didn't get it at first lol ]

Here's everything we ended up with :) We got so many cute things from everyone! I love little clothes!

If you want to read more about it you can visit my sister-in-laws blog. She did a cute job blogging about it and rather than stealing her cute photos she took [ cause my pregnant brain forgot our camera.. plus I was too lazy ] you can just read her blog about it HERE. Plus she got a good picture of my big ol' belly ;)

5] Ultra sounds. Even tho I would rather hold them I love getting to see the growth and development ultra sounds.. makes the weeks go by faster just waiting for our next appointment. Here are the latest pics and stats:

[top picture]

Here's Hazel!
She finally showed her cute little face. Looks ALOT like Lys as a newborn.
She's 3.15 lbs here

[bottom picture]
Here's Henry!
Looking more and more like his papa :)
3.11 lbs

I think that's about all I will miss about being pregnant haha.

Now what I am excited about the not being pregnant:

1] Getting to hold my babies!
2] Getting to start [get used to] life as a whole new family
3] Having my body back!
4] Being waken up by baby cries rather than having to go pee every other hour or having to flip every 30 minutes because my side has gone completely numb from all the weight lol
5] Getting back to crossfit and soccer! I never thought I would miss working out sooo much
6] Just being able to perform simple tasks.. like walking to the bathroom or standing up for more than 5 minutes without being out of breath and feeling like I am going to pass out!
7] Lastly, and I know you never really get your energy back with kids, but having more energy than I do now! I hate having my mind go a million miles an hour with all the things I want and need to do and my body just laughing at me and saying " ya right!! Just go back and sit on the couch and do nothing.. because that's all you can do!" mmmhmmm

Whew... I just can't wait for these cute little babies to get here! It's so stinkin' cute too.. Lys has been doing alot "big girl" things like going to the bathroom without us having to follow her down the hall, putting her shoes on by herself,  picking up her toys and her reasoning:
"I am a big girl now because I am going to be a big sister!"

Brings a smile to my face and a smile in my heart :)

We have another baby shower tomorrow [Whoopie] and another doctors appointment Tuesday [Whoop Whoopie] so i'm sure i'll be updating again.. if I can find the energy that is!

Happy Valentines Day!

I just love my little family so much! We told Lys Valentines is all about "I Love You's" and showing how much you love someone.

[ My daughter has to bring Valentines for her dance class Wednesday so we decided to make some up. Devin came up with the card idea and I just put it all together :) Where it says "MUSTACHE" we taped some of the little mustaches, Lys has on her face, to that spot. Can't you just imagine 9 three year olds running around at dance wearing mustaches lol. ]

[Here's how they turned out minus the mustaches on them]

Lys, as girly as she is, can be a little Tom Boy sometimes. I blame her dad ;) Anyways, she has been wanting a remote control car for awhile so for Valentines I used my work resources and got her a dune buggy remote control car [ because it has open seating so she can drive her barbies around haha ] and then I got devin a remote control helicopter from work. I set them both outside their bedroom door this morning.

I heard Lys's little feet hit the floor, the door creak open and then she yells " Mama! Papa! Come look what's out here!!!" Then she runs in our room "COME ON COME ON" she was so excited. So I told her it was a Valentines gift cause today is Valentines Day. She told me "just one second!" Ran into the living room, came back, gave me a piece of chocolate she got from her Grandma Edo and Gigi (grandpa) and gave me a big ol' hug and said " I love you!". Made my day :)

Devin got me a MOST COMFORTABLE sectional. I no longer hurt on the couch lol.. it's nice to just stretch out and have pillows almost from every angle so I don't have to stuff the couch with pillows and blankets just to be comfortable!

It was a very Happy Valentines. It's a little saddening but at the same time nice to not do anything too big. We are going to enjoy the rest of the night on the couch watching movies. I just can't get out and do stuff anymore without coming home to loads of contractions. So, on the couch we stay :)

[On a side not] Saturday 11 my relief society ladies threw me an amazing little shower. Here is everything I got from it:

They are all such sweet ladies and REALLY spoiled me! We got so much that is going to be a HUGE help! Can't wait for the other 2 showers :)

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

29 weeks and holding strong.. well.. sorta

[Photo is pretty crummy sorry, taken with my cell phone]

*How far along?: 29 weeks
*Total weight gain?: Do I dare say? Around 35 lbs. Which so far is right on track.. so lets hope I can hold that! Total weight gain for twins is between 35-45. Was hoping for JUST the 35 but at least I am not over like I was with Elysa!
*How big are the babies?: close to 3 pounds each
*Genders: Boy & Girl
*Maternity clothes: Yes, but my stomach is starting to hang out of the bottom of maternity shirts and my pants are really uncomfortable. It's frustrating because NOTHING fits and NOTHING is comfortable. I can't wear pants or anything that sit just under my belly. The babies hate that because they are just so far down there and I think it squishes their heads.
*Stretch marks: Ugh yes! I got them with my daughter.. after about a year they slowly started fading and I was excited! But now they are back and even worse because, honestly, I don't know how my belly is going to stretch and further!
*Sleep: What is that again? I am CONSTANTLY tossing and turning. I can never get comfortable. One side will go completely numb so I have to flip to the other side until it goes numb. Not to mention the 10 bathroom trips I make thru the night!
*Best moment this week:Getting my beautiful diaper bag!!! :)
I just love it! It was a little spendy but I love it enough to use it as a purse too! I was wishing I would have spent more on one with Lys because I used it up until she was about 2 to carry all her toys, diapers, and such. So I decided to splurge this time :)
*Movement: My goodness yes! It's like a constant battle for space in there. Last ultrasound Henry was all stretched out and poor Hazel was balled up in her own little sac. I felt bad! We know who is the dominating one lol
*Food cravings: Banana Cream Pie! Preferably Angies
*Labor signs: Braxton Hicks here and there.. some are REALLY intense and I just lay on the couch and hold my breath until they are over
*Belly button in or out: Do I still have one? It is very out! Lys thought it was one of the babies feet sticking out.
*What I miss: Where do I begin! Everything! I miss working out and being sore! I miss walking! I miss standing for more than 10 minutes at a time. Today at the store I had to find a couch because I thought I was going to pass out and I was so out of breath.. no more shopping for me!
*What I'm looking forward to: Besides being able to hold and see my babies :) Physically being able to do stuff and not having all the aches and pains. And of course I am going thru soccer & crossfit withdrawls. I just can't wait to feel semi-normal and not feel like a helpless couch potato haha.. sounds nice.. but you get to the point where you are sick of having to be helped for EVERY LITTLE THING.. yes.. even being walked to the bathroom.. which Lys does a good job doing :)
*What do I love about this pregnancy: Getting to see their little bodies and faces on ultrasounds which I get PLENTY of :) I LOVE feeling their little bodies move around. It's amazing, it is with one but with two.. wow! Me and Devin have guessing games on which body part it is and who's it is haha.. but I love getting to bond with them that way and I love that they move alllllll the time. Watch my belly for even a minute and you'll see it just start jumping around haha.. I get a little self conscious at times depending on who I am talking to and my belly just starts crazily twitching!

Lys & Devin have been my rocks! If it weren't for them I seriously think I would go insane. Why did I even once complain about being pregnant with Lys lol? She was EASY compared to this! Lys is so sweet tho, she tucks me in at night and for naps, like I said, she walks me to the bathroom, she gets papa for me when I need him. Devin, oh man he deserves husband and father of the year award for sure! He cooks every night, goes grocery shopping, cleans the house, gets Lys ready for dance and yes! He did her hair with my flat iron!
He even put a bow in her hair :) He is amazing!

2 more weeks and i'll have another Growth & Development ultrasound. We'll see just how big the babies are and see if I need to go on full bedrest or not. BUT 3 more weeks and I am safe to deliver here! Before then i'd have to go to SLC so I am doing eveything I can to make it to the 32 weeks mark! I can't believe how fast it's going.. but boy am I ready!

Elysa's Dance & 26 week update

Lys is our little dancer. She loves loves loves to dance and perform, and she's really good at it too :) So we decided it was time to get her into dancing. We signed her up at Lashar's. She goes ever Wednesday from 10-10:45. We got to watch her for the last 15 minutes of her first class and OH MY HECK it was adorable!

I was so proud of her because she picked up really quick and (even tho I know she is VERY vocal at home) was surprised at how vocal she was in class. She participated in everything really well and talked to the teacher alot.

She learned a cute little dance to a song called "Gold Fish" [ I REALLY need to post the video of her doing it]. I found the song for her at home and now she wants to perform it for EVERYONE. I was proud she remembered the whole thing too.

And of course, every mother deserves bragging rights.. right? Well I have to brag :) Lys's dance teacher told us she was so impressed by Elysa because she listened and learned better than some of the other little girls who have been there for months. So there is my proud mother moment :)

I forgot when you sign up for dance that's it's more than just signing up to learn to dance. You have to get the dance clothes & shoes and they aren't exactly cheap BUT she is worth it :) All the little girls had dance backpacks with their names on them so they knew where to find their shoes when it was time to switch so I decided to make Lys her own dance bag. She really loves Angelina Ballerina so we had to put that on her bag :) She has a dance recital in May and I am SOO excited for it. We got her little costume yesterday and OH MY HECK it is adorable!

I am officially 26 weeks now!

I know at times it doesn't seem like it, but when I look back, time sure is flying! These babies will be here before we know it! I've been told several times to just enjoy life as it is right now, and I sure am trying, but it is getting harder! I just want these babies here because it is so hard to not be able to hug my hubby or baby girl close, I am not allowed to pick her up anymore either which is soooo hard because I love her big bear hugs! I can't stand for more than 15 minutes without hurting to the point of tears. We can't go out much anymore [which is fine, it saves money right? ;) ] I do ALOT of laying on the couch, which is what my doc told me I had to do too, it gets old. THANK GOODNESS for all our winter shows or I would literally go crazy! I can't really craft or sew anymore because sitting up for too long starts to really hurt and I get contractions alot.

I have to say to my WONDERFUL AWESOME HUSBAND: I am so glad I have him because he has been amazing to me. He takes such good care of me, he cleans the house, does the dishes and laundry, organizes everything, gets Lys dressed and to dance class, goes grocery shopping.. literally.. he does EVERYTHING since I can't do anything. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT HIM!!

As you can see my belly is getting HUGE. I have no belly button anymore lol.. the babies move like CRAZY which is the one thing I really love about this experience. I love feeling their little fingers brush around in my belly and feel their little kicks and punches. My belly literally looks like it's a jungle gym in there.. it shakes from side to side. It's fun to watch. :)

We had our development ultrasound on Tuesday and it was amazing! We got to see the babies in 3d and the detail! Oh the detail! It made me wanna hold them :)

This is Henry

He already looks like his papa :)

That cabbage looking thing covering his eye is Hazels head. She was being super shy and would not roll over for even a second so we didn't get to see her little face at all. I was a little bummed.

They are both looking great and healthy and are now 2lbs each :) So everything is going great! And I just love seeing them.

On the way home Lys was looking at the Ultrasound pictures and said " I AM SO EXCITED"

I couldn't have said it better myself!

24 Weeks and feeling very pregnant

I'm only 24 weeks and I am starting to feel like I am 34 weeks pregnant. Simple tasks are getting so much harder to do, like getting dressed, putting socks on, putting shoes on, standing for even just 5 minutes I get really light headed and need to sit down. Grocery shopping has to take only 20 minutes, no longer, or my stomach gets really heavy and my legs just can't take anymore. I feel like a huge whimp! But I know I can't push it either because these babies need to stay put for at least 13 more weeks.

Crazy when I think that that's all I really have left.. is 13 more weeks. That's when I had my first ultrasound and found out I was having twins! Now I am 6 months pregnant!

* Random note because I just sneezed. I HATE sneezing.. my whole belly tightens up and the twins don't like it either.. plus they really hurt now. Devin is  sure that that is how I am going to go into labor LOL*

I am CONSTANTLY tired. I go to bed at 9 pm, go to work for only 3 hours ( 9am-12pm ) come home and take a 2 hour nap and I am STILL exhausted and tired. We stay home ALOT now and just watch a heck of a lot of TV.. which I feel makes me more tired just lazing around.. but I can't move much either or else I feel worn out tired.. so it's a lose lose situation haha.

Oh I didn't post: The ultrasound for my lymphnode came back negative so I am in the clear :) Everything looked good.

Having even more horrible heart burn but Dexilant, my new prescribed medication, helps alot. Indigestion is less which is nice.

I feel the babies move ALOT ALOT ALOT. My belly jumps like crazy too and it's very visible. One is VERY low which is extremely uncomfortable because anything I wear just bugs that little baby and they'll kick kick kick at the waist band. And one is very high always kicking me in the ribs. They like to kick ALL day long and settle down at night which is good.. altho when I roll from side to side whoever is on that side kicks at my side I can only assume saying " your squishing me! Rollover!" but that's also a lose lose because whatever side I am on happens to be where someone else is lying lol.

And lastly.. we thought we were so firm on the names but we changed.. one last time [ at least we hope ]. Our little boy is still going to be:
Henry William Davis
But out little girl has changed from Emma Marie to:
Hazel Marie Davis

Reason for changing? While at Nanny's ( my husbands grandma's ) we found out that their was also an Emma in the family which made naming her Emma exciting because we are trying to use names that have family ties. While going down the family tree we found that Emma was Hazel's grandma who was Nanny's mom. If I am getting this right ( because that always confuses me ) It goes down the line starting with Emma:

Emma
( We can't remember the name that goes here )
Hazel
Nanny

ANYWAYS.. we heard Hazel and both loved it. We know a close friend naming their little girl Emma as well and we really are trying to go for uncommon names so we decided since we love Hazel so much.. lets switch now :)

So that is why we are going with Hazel Marie. Woo.. did you get all that!?

Ta, ta for now..

This is my digital Scrapbook. And.. yeah.. i designed the papers and stuff myself :) sweet huh?

Elysa's Favorite Video! She asks for it by pointing at the computer and yelling "Apples!Apples"
