Tiny Dancer & Time for Vaca!

Little Dancer
May 19 2012

Elysa started dance this January and fell in love with it. To brag her teacher told us that Lys catches on really quick to the dance routines so that made us proud parents :)

She had her end of the year dance recital May 19 and did a fabulous job. It was so fun watching her perform and I was really proud that she didn't get shy or nervous. She just went up there and performed her little heart out. We have all decided performing is her thing and we are going to keep her with it for as long as she wants to do it.

Time For Vaca! Riggins Id!
May 25-28 2012

Day 1
We left early Friday morning to hit the road for our 8 hour drive, yes 8 hour drive and that is with two 2 month olds, one 6 month old & one 3 1/2 year old. Are we crazy or what?
WELL? They all did awesome, I was soooo proud. The twins slept the whole time, sisa watched movies, played "I spy" games with us & slept.

Matt [my bro] his wife, Becky, and their little one, Izzy, drove separate since we couldn't get a car big enough to hold all of us.

We picked up my dad in Boise along the way and headed to Riggins.
What's in Riggins you ask? My uncle owns a resort along the river and was awesome enough to invite us down for a free stay!
Where is Riggins? It's a little, little,little......... little town in Idaho, population 420.

We got there, had dinner and all hit the sack since we were exhausted!

Day 2
We got ready for the day and had planned on fishing. We were bummed that the weather was a little glum and rainy but we weren't going to let it ruin the day!

[ Waiting for the boys to decide where we were going to fish]

[fishing behind my uncles Resort. Devin was SOO excited that on his first cast he caught a fish AND caught a fish before anyone else]

[We headed out further up the river and once again Devin caught the first and only fish! The rest of us got discouraged and gave up haha.. that and the weather wasn't the best and the water was extremely high and COLD. That night, to warm up, we went to the Riggins hotsprings. I didn't get any pictures sadly :( ]

Day 3

[ We headed to Boise to split the trip up so it was 8 hours on the way home again. ]

[My Dad and all his grandkids :) ]

 [The whole darn family]

[Our stop in McCall Idaho on our way to Boise. It was a cute little town that reminded us alot of Jackson Hole. We stopped for some hot chocolate at a little coffee shop, strolled along the McCall Lake, and went into all the little shops. We hit one Thrift store and there was a cute little girl, probably about 1, in there that was the shop owners daughter and her name was Hazel! First time I have heard of another Hazel so far!

When we got to Boise we head straight to the Mall. The girls saw Build-a-Bear and we couldn't resist letting them get their very own, and first, bear. We thought Sisa's was a calico kitty so we had her pick out a "meow" voice box to put it.. AFTER it was stuffed we noticed her kitty was not a cat but a bear.. I felt bad. She named it (after many name changes we just combined them) Bell Beary the Bear Cat a.k.a Kathy ]

And that was our wonderful trip!
